چکیده

Theta graphs are important geometric graphs that have many applications, including wireless networking, motion planning, real-time animation, and minimumspanning tree construction. We give closed form expressions for the average degree of theta graphs of a homogeneous Poisson point process over the plane. We then show that essentially the same bounds—with vanishing error terms—hold for theta graphs of finite sets of points that are uniformly distributed in a square. Finally, we show that the number of edges in a theta graph of points uniformly distributed in a square is concentrated around its expected value. ∗School of Computer Science, Carleton University ar X iv :1 30 4. 34 02 v1 [ cs .C G ] 1 1 A pr 2 01 3 u C1 + u C2 + u C3 + u

On the saturation number of graphs

Let $G=(V,E)$ be a simple connected graph. A matching $M$ in a graph $G$ is a collection of edges of $G$ such that no two edges from $M$ share a vertex. A matching $M$ is maximal if it cannot be extended to a larger matching in $G$. The cardinality of any smallest maximal matching in $G$ is the saturation number of $G$ and is denoted by $s(G)$. In this paper we study the saturation numbe...

On the variable sum exdeg index and cut edges of graphs

The variable sum exdeg index of a graph G is defined as $SEI_a(G)=sum_{uin V(G)}d_G(u)a^{d_G(u)}$, where $aneq 1$ is a positive real number,  du(u) is the degree of a vertex u ∈ V (G). In this paper, we characterize the graphs with the extremum variable sum exdeg index among all the graphs having a fixed number of vertices and cut edges, for every a>1.

On net-Laplacian Energy of Signed Graphs

A signed graph is a graph where the edges are assigned either positive ornegative signs. Net degree of a signed graph is the dierence between the number ofpositive and negative edges incident with a vertex. It is said to be net-regular if all itsvertices have the same net-degree. Laplacian energy of a signed graph is defined asε(L(Σ)) =|γ_1-(2m)/n|+...+|γ_n-(2m)/n| where γ_1,...,γ_n are the ei...

On the revised edge-Szeged index of graphs

The revised edge-Szeged index of a connected graph $G$ is defined as Sze*(G)=∑e=uv∊E(G)( (mu(e|G)+(m0(e|G)/2)(mv(e|G)+(m0(e|G)/2) ), where mu(e|G), mv(e|G) and m0(e|G) are, respectively, the number of edges of G lying closer to vertex u than to vertex v, the number of ed...
